I have a 5 week old who is very hungry and feeds almost constantly day and night - often every hour. We are co sleeping because she will not sleep anywhere but with me. To make situation more difficult, she has a really blocked nose (has had for three weeks) so struggles to feed and is a noisy sleeper. Sometimes she has 'mammoth' feeding sessions (at least once a day) where she is on the breast for three or more hours and she will get to a point where she screams, gets'angry' and thrashes her head around. I am thinking of turning to formula. She also throws up what seems like an awful lot - this doesn't upset her so I know it's not painful. Any advice? I really love her but all the feeding and lack of sleep is getting me down so I feel like I'm not enjoying her. Help!!

does she really need the feed or is it just the suckling is calming as maybe you could try a dummy

steam the bathroom and sit in the to clear mucus and also if in moses basket prop head up with pillow under mattress and maybe try a dummy

what about expressing milk at night so your dh can take over a feed to give you some rest

thanks - will definitely try the steam thing. she hates dummies - have tried several times.
