My BF 6.5 month old stopped night feeds about 4 weeks ago with a little gentle encouragement and no crying. She carried on waking up, but just once a night as opposed to 2/3 times, and would go back to sleep after I went in and played her mobile music. Then she started teething and was harder to settle but even when I offered milk wasn't really interested. However over the past week she has been refusing to go back to sleep unless I feed her, usually at 4/5am. I always try water and Bonjela first but try not to resort to Calpol. She does seem genuinely hungry, and feeds well again at 7am. Has this happened to anyone else? She is having 3 really substantial meals, and an afternoon snack of fruit, plus 4 milk feeds during the day. She is sometimes quite tired at teatime and it's difficult to get her to finish her banana which she always has for pudding, so maybe I should bring tea forward a bit. The night feed doesn't bother me too much as we both go back to sleep afterwards but it does feel like a backward step as she had even slept from 7pm-7am a few times and I thought we had really cracked it! I have found out what a full night's sleep is like again and I want more! Just want to know I'm not on my own with this one.
