Hi.My daughter is 14 weeks and is breastfed. Her poo is often yellow with stringy brown/dark green bits in it. Is this normal or is there something I am eating that doesn't agree with her. She is generally a happy baby.

Hi, if it helps, my daughter is 7 wks (8 wks on Monday) and her poo is yellow with brown stringy / green stringy bits, she has even thrown in the odd white-ish looking bits. Today I had a nappy that was more green than yellow. Yesterday I had a nappy that was soooo runny I had to throw her babygrow in the bin I have been feeling a little under the weather for the past couple of days (sleep dep) so it would not supprise me that this affects her but she is alert and happy (expect with a few bf problems at the mo)most of the time so I put her nappies down to her body changing and my milk changing too.

Yellow is very normal for bf babies. My DS had green poo for a while, and we worked out that it was probably because he was being fed too often, and it was just going through him. It was not possible to tease out whether it was/ was also because the "often" feeds meant he was only getting foremilk.

Hope this gives you some ideas, although please keep in mind that they are very complex little systems, and there is so much that can knock them "off"!
