Contraception and breastfeeding

Has anyone found the mini pill worked for them? Officially its supposed to be fine when nursing but have heard from friends that it has impacted on their milk supply. Would appreciate your experiences.

I have taken it from 3 weeks after birth while feeding 5 children. 3 and 4 are twins! Have never topped up with formula or expressed. I believe all babies have had enough milk.

My LO lost a lot of weight round about the same time that I went on the mini pill. I've been wondering if it had affected my supply - even though it's not supposed to.

There were other issues that might have contributed to a drop in supply for me - rushing around for Christmas, DS reducing night feeds and DS soothing himself with fingers instead of shouting for milk.

Guess I won't really ever know, but would be interested to read other posts.
