13Mth old refusing Breast, I'm in Pain...

Please could someone give me some advice.
My 13Mth old has gone off Breast Feeding. At 1st I thought this was due to an ear infection but now she's getting better and I'm convinced my Breast Feeding days are over. I have been expressing for 4 days to keep up my supply (hoping it would be a short Boob-refusal Stage) but now it's clear she's self weaned (gutted). The problem is she has gone from 3 feeds in 24hrs, to none and I am in so much pain. My boobs are lumpy, sore and too big for my bra. How long will this last? and is there any thing I can do? I'm worried I'll end up with mastitis.

Express just enough to relieve the discomfort but not so you are emptying your boobs iyswim, and try a warm shower and some painkillers for the pain. Bless you!

Ow,ow,ow...am feeling your pain.My older 2 DC's didnt do it this quickly but they did self wean and I think that bit was the worst bit of breast feeding.

I dealt with mine by hand expressing in the bath (was like going back to the start of it all!!).Another friend used cabbage leaves which did give her some comfort.

Was talking to my DD's key worker at nursery about this the other day.She weaned at five months cos she was going back to work,so went from exclusive feeding to nothing in a day .She was saying her boobs took about ten days to get back to normal, so hopefully will be less cos you were making less IYSWIM.
