Medela nipple shields

This is a really dimwitted question, but does anyone know how you know what size Medela nipple shields to buy? There isn't any guidance on their website that I can find and I have no idea what bit of my nipple/aureole I'm suppposed to be measuring. Any ideas?

You need to measure across the nipple so from where nipple and aureole meet.

A clear ruler would probably be the easiest,hold it just above the nipple, line the 0 up on one side and note the measurement on the other side.

This would give you the nipple diameter.
