Painful bite on nipple - what will help it heal?

My 8.5 month-old bit me really hard a few days ago while feeding. He hasn't repeated the offense, but I have developed a sort of blister where he bit me which is now absolutely excruciating when he feeds, and fairly uncomfortable the rest of the time. Any suggestions as to what I can use to help it heal?

that lansinoh/lanisoh (sp?) nipple cream stuff is really good.

This

Expensive, though, so maybe someone will have a cheaper alternative.

If it's still no better get it checked by doctor. This happened to me and after 5 days or so of agony, resorting to expressing from that side, I noticed a tiny bit of pus come out (sorry TMI) - went to out of hours dr and got put straight on antibiotics which sorted it out quickly. Combined with ibuprofen for pain!
And think of a reaction for if he bites again!!

i got bitten 2 weeks ago by DD (6 month) and she broke the skin, it took 10 days to heal and was really painful when she fed on it. lansinoh is the best thing i think, but i found that putting a bit of bongela on 5 mins before a feed worked wonders... good luck
