ABM?

The Association of Breastfeeding Mothers, does anyone know about them, or what training with them would mean? Is it respected and noted?

Also, I am unbelievably angry with my SIL. She just said that I "should give up breastfeeding WAY before they are one, or it's gross".

TIA :D

We are fab {grin]

What do you mean by respected and noted? It is a considerable training course but done via home study. I am nearly finished and I think it has taken me nearly 3 years but I did have a baby in the middle. At the end you will volunteer on the phone and can run a group etc. ABM is one of the 4 (?) recognised groups.

Mother supporter training is like peer supporter training - a quite in depth module covering all the basics.

and your sister should be reminded that the milk she drinks is from a cow.

Excellent
They're based and were established in my town, and my Mum mentioned them. I looked at their website, but it looked a bit slap dash, and didn't know whether it was noted or not.

Glad to know that it is, I'll be getting in touch with them ASAP for some training. :D

Booyhoo, I did say that it was more gross to drink milk from a cow than milk from a human, but she didn't seem to get it. Might make her tea with BM next time she comes.
