Normal/Nursing Bras for EBFs - help please

I'm still BFing DS (15 mths) and my nursing bras desperately need replacing.

I've heard some people mention that they BF in normal bras and I was wondering how you do it? Is this only possible if DC hardly ever feeds (so the bra is kind of irrelevant), and/or do you pull the whole strap down? And if so does the bra stretch horribly?

Should prob say, am 34F so would like to have a decent shape in bras again - which is why I'd like to go back to normal bras if possible.

Any advice generally appreciated, as I'm hoping to go shopping soon and want to work out what i'm looking for.

I bought a couple of nursing bras from figleaves.com, both underwired and really supportive as I have bigger boobs and they just would not survive any length of time in a non wired nursing bra. They look just like a normal bra, the underwire has not caused any problems with milk supply.

I got a couple of bras from La senza. I just fold the top of the cup in on itself and feed them.
DS is 2.7 and DD is 11months and between them they feed quite a lot.
Just make sure the bra fits properly and that the underwire doesn't dig into the breast tissue

ds2 is 7 months and i've just bought underwired bras to wear again. I just fold the cup down. Makesure it's a really good fit. I'm a 34 E and it has made a huge difference to how i feel...more comfortable, lighter!!! confident, slimmer etc!! However i didn't realise you could get underwired nursing bras...will check those out too!!

Thanks, thats great advice! I'm so sick of not getting any 'support' from my bras!

Good to know there are options out there - the underwired feeding bras must be a new thing, cos when I was 1st pregnant (and hating the granny-ish soft bras) I looked into it and the best I could find were the Freya soft-cups!

Think I'll get measured and then take it from there.
