1yr old Rejecting Morning and Nigh-time feeds

My 1 year old DS is starting to reject his morning and evening milk feeds. I am still giving him a follow-on formula in the morning and the evening.

Should I be switching him on to regular cow's milk? How much milk does he now need each day? He eats a balanced diet of 3 meals a day with healthy snacks and drinks a lot of water. I cook with full fat milk for him and he has it with porridge in the morning too.

Does it matter that he only drinks about 7-8ozs a day of milk?

Thanks!

My little man aged 12 months now isn't interested in a bottle first thing or at bed time. I just give him his warm milk in a sucky cup now with breakfast and dinner and lots of yoghurts, cheese etc as well.

Not sure on how much they're meant to have, someone else will probably answer that shortly. Just wanted you to know my little boy has done it too. He's also on cow's milk now and happy but I give Abidec vitamin drops, so I know he's getting plenty of vitamins.

You can keep your little man on a toddler milk if you wish though.

Thanks - I'm not really worried about it, it's just the guidelines seem a bit fuzzy.

I think I'll finish off the formula I have before switching to cows milk as it's a waste otherwise.

Cheers and good luck!

I can't remember how much they're meant to have at that age as it was a while ago, but dd was the same - while she was happy to eat anything I gave her she refused bottles of milk. I just made sure that she got plenty of milk in her food and plenty of yoghurts.
