Help Changing from BF to FF

Hi, was wondering if anyone has any good advice as the only advice I seem to have received from the 'PROFESSIONALS' so far has been bad! It's a long story so I won't go too into detail but basically got off to a bad start with BF and was given so much bad/conflicting advice from all the different midwives/HV/doctors/nurses i've seen I've ended up in a situation where DS will only drink from the bottle and i'm finding it really difficult coping with feeding then expressing then sterilising as I seem to be left with no time for anything else! So i've decided rather than waste any more time when I should be enjoying my baby to switch to formula. The questions I have are can I stop BF and replace with FF just like that as long as he takes to it ok and what do I do about my boobs? Sorry for long post!

LorzB, I think I would just drop one at a time so that you don't risk getting engorged and getting mastitis or anything.

so choose your least favourite time to express, and cut it out. then maybe drop one a week or something?

I completely agree, with my first DD when I finally got her to take a bottle I swapped one boob feed for a bottle feed each week until I was down to nothing. Otherwise you'll get engorged and sore again! Good luck!
