I'm doing all the baby prep buying atm - I know I will need nursing bra's (I was thinking 2 at least to start with) Pads and then from there I'm not sure.

You can get all sorts of gadgets and gizmo's, I wouldn't nessesarily be thinking about buying them all in one go except I've found most of them half price on the internet so if I'm going to get them it would make sense to now reduce P and P and get them cheap.

I'm wondering if anyone has found any of these useful or if it's just money down the loo.

Nipple cream - can I use something like almond or olive oil if I need to instead (ie edible)

Lilly Pads silicone breast pads (means you can go swimming and won't leak - but how likely are leaks after 6 weeks, also bearing in mind I do go at least 3 times a week normally and it won't be something I give up easily as it's one of the few things that sorts out a medical condition I have)

Thermal Breast Pads - those things you put in the fridge or warm up for everything from engorgement to mastitis.

Ah - here's the thing, I'm actually in a bit of a pickle - I'm not able to use my bathroom (I'm kinda stuck in the living room - long standing mobility issues - waiting for a move but council is naff).

Should probably have mentioned could quite possibly be stuck in the one room on floor or in bed. However I reckon that should if anything help with BF - it's not like I'm going to be in a hurry to go anywhere so lots of time for skin to skin ect ect - There is an upside to everything !

Definitely Lansinoh. Slather it on from the start, don't wait till it hurts.

Button top nighties I've found very useful for the night feeds. Get a couple at least as mine got soaked when my milk came in (also went through a box of pads very quickly).
