Advice please on 10wk old changing bf habits

Feeding here has changed and I'm at a bit of a loss so any help gratefully recieved.

DS is exclusively bf, with the 11pm feed being a bottle of ebm. He used to feed every 2-3 hours in the day for about 10-15 mins. I have fast flow and he'd be very focussed!
He's then wake once between 11 and 7 for a feed.

He's now still feeding every 2-3 hours which is fine, but fusses a lot more and bats my breast etc. He doesn't stay on as long now, but sometimes will then go back on if I offer after he's had a bit of a look around. Last two nights he's woken twice which isn't the norm, so I'm wondering if he's not getting enough milk in the day.

Is it that he's now more interested in the outside world? How can I encourage him to focus, or how can I make sure he's getting enough in the daytime?
Any hints/tips very welcome!

This sounds normal behaviour, scarlotti.

You have a baby who is looking around and taking notice. This is entirely developmentally appropriate and it may mean his feeding is less 'focussed'....and night waking is also not at all unusual. It may change back again. Trying to change it is prob something you cannot do without distress - he's just being a 10 wk old baby

Thanks tiktok, I'm coping fine with waking once at night (and appreciate how lucky I've been!) it's the second waking that's taking it's toll.
At least I can relax though knowing it's a normal phase of development. Will just have to find time to nap instead I guess
