Found nursing necklaces on website...
Has anyone got one? Any good or a gimmick?

I know someone who had an organic blah blah nursing necklace a couple of years back.
I found that my boys just played with whatever their hands came across while they were feeding - button on my shirt, necklace, scarf etc etc.

IMO they are completely unecessary and just an extra bit of tat aimed at new and impressionable mothers!

i've never had one, but actually had a long necklace on today and it was fab!
instead of clawing at my breast, pulling my buttons, trying to put my jumper in his mouth etc etc ds3 just played with it and looked at it!

Just checked the website.

I can't imagine anything worse than wearing plastic beads with all my nice outfits just so baby might want to play with it.

Yes they are all plastic and I had to lol at the 'wood effect' 'natural look' ones.

And as for the plastic bracelet to swap from wrist to wrist to remind you which boob you feed from next..... naff naff naff

Just get some naff old lady beads from the charity shop baby won't know the difference but your bank balance will!

I have one which I bought on ebay - plasticky and bright, not pretty like your link, DS was never interested in it when feeding but loves it now, quite handy to keep in a pocket to entertain him with in HV waiting room etc.

Also had a reminder bracelet with a slider for time of last feed which I never remembered to switch from wrist to wrist, certainly didn't use it with DC2, haven't a clue where it is now!

Hi humpty

I have a nursing necklace that i use all the time. It was from ebay but think is from simillar website. I got one when my ds was 4 months as he was getting quite violent while feeding and sticking his fingers up my nose / in eyes etc. My son loves it and i wear it all the time - he loves shaking it as its got bells on (think it's called 'jingle boobs') - especially when am leaning over in bath.

The beads are bright but not obscenely so - my friend wanted to borrow them for a pandora bracelet, and the beads feel like glass, don't think they are plastic.

I did try to find something cheap and cheerful from a charity shop, but couldn't find anything with bells so ended up buying one. I haven't regretted it as it's not something I wear just for nursing, so it's for me as much as him.

Hope this helps x
