just wanted to know if its ok to make up FF bottles the night before for the next day; store in fridge and consume within 12-18 hours? ready made cartons have to be used within 24 hours of opening but the formula tubs say make and use immediately.

I am sure I have seen mothers in the past with a days worth of bottles in the fridge??

appreciate you advice TIA

The formula tubs say to use immediatly as the milk powder isn't sterile, and there have been cases of babies getting very ill from infections that they got from their formula. To reduce the risk of this as much as possible, you need to make up formula with hot water and use it straight away so that the bacteria don't have a chance to grow.

The ready made cartons are sterile, so their case is a bit different
