Hi,

My DD1 is 13 weeks. She used to sleep through till 4-5 am for a few weeks from about 8 weeks having been fed at 7 pm (BF all day feeds but now she has formula at last evening feed from daddy). She has 210mls of soya cow and gate which is the recommended amount for a 4 month old and usually has all of it, maybe leaves 20 mls. She is a big girl for her age at 13 lb 2 ozs. The last few weeks her nighttime feed has crept forward slowly and now I'm back to doing 2 night times feeds. One around 2 am and then about 5 am. She has a dummy and I do try to settle her first without feeding her but she doesnt settle until fed. Any ideas why and how i can get her back to 1 night time feed?

Congrats on your DD! And congrats on having only one night feed at this age. Unfortunately 12 weeks is classic growth spurt time, and it's not unusual for babies to go back to needing more feeds for the short (or long) term.

My DS slept from midnight till 7 for about a week at 12 weeks, then went back to 3-5 night wakings until 9 months . I was horrified, but I think that's at the worse end of the spectrum for babies that are sleeping well at that age!

I don't think there's much you can do but feed, and maybe in a couple of weeks see where you are in terms of night feeds.

sounds like a growth spurt to me
just keep feeding her as this will boost your supply.
Eventually your supply will cathc up to her demand but this may not be for a few weeks and it may be a while until she can go all nigth with only one feed.

it is tough though, esp after you think you have nights cracked, so much sympathy!
