Having problems with mixed feeding

I am returning to work next week, I have been bf exclusively, My DD is now 9mnths, I have recently stopped bf in the day, only doing it morning and night, So when i go back to work it will be before i leave for work and as soon as i get back.

My problem is sometimes she will take a bottle of formula in the day and sometimes not, Sometimes she hardly has any milk in the daytime and i worry she will be dehydrated, She takes small amounts of water and juice in her sippy cup with her meals.

I am dreading going back to work and having to leave her as it is with out worrying about her not taking her milk. It has been hard stopping the bf during the day, but i have stuck with it. Expressing isn't an option as i found it quite hard going.

Thanks

why have you stopped during the day? i went back a few months later than you, but just bf when i was there. ds never had a bottle, just water etc when i wasn't there. it was fine.

jules i just carried on as normal, didn't bother stopping during the day or giving formula. just fed when i was there. your supply should be well enough established to cope with a change after 9m. it is nice way to reconnect after being at work all day too.

it worked absolutely fine, after all whoever is looking after her can provide a drink etc and if she is bf morning and evening that is plenty plus food during the day.

Thanks fishie, That is reassuring to hear.
