My DD is 6 and a half months and has been bf since birth.
Does anyone have any ideas what to do if your lo won't take milk from a cup. We thought we may as well skip the bottle stage as she certainly hates them and go straight to a cup. We have been trying for a few weeks with a drink with her lunch (normally with water but have tried milk) but she just plays with it. I then tend to bf after meals to make sure she is getting some sort of fluid (would probably top up if she took the water but find she needs a proper big feed at the mo!)
The problem I have is that I go back to work full time in about 10 days and am worried that she won't have worked it out by then. I am not local so won't be able to pop back for a quick boob feed at lunch or anything. The good news is that my DP is home full time so thought we would have this licked by now (he has tried all the non bf's).
Any ideas how to encourage from the cup - she is currently having expressed milk so, although probably tastes a bit different it is essentially the same!
The other slight issue is she seems to struggle with her poo's at the mo and this is because of the transition to solids (have checked with the HV) and don't want to make things worse really by making her go cold turkey until she has to drink as may make her number twos even harder work!!
Oh, what to do! Theres always some little niggle, isn't there?
