6 week growth spurt - how long will this last???

DS3 is 7 weeks today and for the last 4 days and nights has been on a spectacular growth spurt - feeding every 1 1/2 to 2 hours, for about an hour at a go, during the day and hardly sleeping. Then cluster feeding from about midnight until 3 or 4 am before settling down for about 3 hours. The rest of the time he will only sleep on me or DH (having been fine settling in moses basket or crib previously) and even then half an hour seems to be the maximum stretch of sleep which isn't really enough for me to do any catching up, especially as DS1&2 are quite demanding!

I know it won't last forever but have forgotten what it is like - how long do growth spurts usually go on for?

I am very impressed by how determined such a small baby can be - he seems to be exhausted as well, but keep forcing himself to wake up for more milk.

Erm, this lasted 2 weeks for us.

Try co-sleeping.
