When do I stop leaking?

Or do I just keep leaking the whole time I breastfeed? It's driving me NUTS. Went back to work last week and realised I was walking around with a huge damp patch on my right tit (or Big Milky, as I call it)

My baby is three months old.

My ds is 14 months and I'm still wearing breast pads, washable ones that are comfortable.

Oh God.

Thanks for replying anyway.

But I don't leak constantly, it's just occasionally when I miss a feed, then I have to be careful.

this is a bloody good question, i havent breastfed for ummm, 9 months and mine STILL leak. although its not very often and only a little bit.

i checked with the doc and the mw, and they both said (airly i might add) oh sure that can happen, not to worry too much about it.

niiiiice.

DH thinks its funny.

i said, would he think it was funny if his left nut occasionaly leaked all over his trousers when HE was shopping?

yuh. didnt think so.

Mcsnail, i wondered this about 6 weeks ago when i used to get soaked, and all of a sudden, now at 4 mo, i could probably get away without breast pads during the day - i only now really leak at night/early morning as DD is taking EBm at my bedtime and sleeping through till morning.
good luck!

Can you express at work? Realise this may not be practical, it wasn't for me. Might it help though if you could do it? Or there's Lilypadz - heard they work for some people.

I didn't leak at all, so apart from that I'm no help . Flip side is it took agonising hours to express even 1oz.

Another one still wearing breastpads every day at 14 months here - sorry! On the plus side, I only leak now from one side while feeding from the other and that's unusual these days - oh, and I've been without pads at night for several months now!

I think that's an unusually high level of leakiness though - most people seem to stop much earlier. It's so horrible isn't it, though? It used to make me cry sometimes, and when I was squirting everywhere too

Mine stopped after about a year! Get some breast pads that are comfortable & it won't seem so bad.

Mine only stopped leaking about 5 months ago and DD is 3yrs old. I BF for a year but carried on leaking (only tiny amounts) but noticed slight we patch in my bra and it was onl from one side! It has stopped now though and as I said she is 3!
