Sick After Every Feed

hi my 6 week old is sick a couple of times after every feed. I thought i might be feeding him too much but he seems to be hungry a couple of minutes later (rooting around, hands in mouth, wriggling, crying)- its worse at night.

I am feeding him about 120ml -150ml of sma gold every 3 hoursish and also bf him.

He never settles after a feed and never sleeps for more than 2 1/2 hours.

I think he has colic so have been using infacol and dr browns bottles but it doesnt make a huge difference

any advice? should i be feeding him more? less? different formula?

maybe try and burp him after a few mouthfull of each feed? is he wofling it down? maybe too much air is getting trapped, hence the sickness?

walking up and downstairs/on his back pumping his legs back and forth, to help with the wind?

6 weeks is a growth spurt, I think.

fresh air helps too, I know you are probably knackered, but a quick walk around the block?

well done anyway!

Could it be bloody reflux?

I could have wrote your message. Have 6 week old dd who is mostly breastfed but have been trying her with formula to try and get her weight up. Is your ds putting on weight? I started with sma gold which seemed to start off the sickness then over the course of last 5 weeks went to cow and gate and now Hipp organic and like you Im using infacol and Dr Brown bottles as she has lots of wind. Each time she is sick a couple of times afterwards. Seem to spend most days cleaning myself up and changing her. It was suggested to me she could be lactose intolerant but Im also pretty sure she has reflux. Have you tried Infant Gaviscon after each feed? Bit of a faff but seems to work after a while. Also if it is colic I know Aptimil do a special colic formula. Hope both their tummies settle soon. Good Luck.
