Having just got over two colds and about to start another, I'm anxious to give VFD a try. Their leaflet says to ask a doctor before using it when bfing. The pharmacist in Boots just opened up the leaflet and told me, helpfully, that it said to ask a doctor, but she didn't think you could take any cold remedies while bfing

This is from their website:

It contains a polymer (HPMC) based on cellulose extracted from North American conifers grown in renewable forests, Pyroglutamic acid that occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes and natural eucalyptol and menthol.

  • which sounds fine to me, but obviously don't want to melt DD's brain or anything. Can anyone find anything positively for or against me using it? DD is 14 months if it makes a difference.

um, i used it when DS was 2 weeks old . it's just a nasal lavage, so shouldn't be absorbed by your body, and the pharmacist i asked said it was fine

DS is nearly 12 weeks old now and his brain does not appear to be melting so far
