7mo getting a bit bitey (youch!)

My 7mo DS cut his first 2 teeth at 5mo. I have had a few nips since but nothing too serious until lately.

He is going through hell and high water teething the next batch right now and is biting and chewing on anything he can get his nashers on (clamping down and shaking head in hungry dog stylee) including my poor poor nips .

He got a good one in at his bedtime feed which resulted in a terrified yell from me and swift removal of boob. Thing is, poor mite could really have done with nursing a bit longer but I was scared he would go for a repeat bite.

You ladies must have a wealth of experience in nursing nasher equipped LOs so any help would be much appreciated, by me and the "girls".

Some people find that if they feed lying down it stops the biting.

If this doesn't help I'd try giving one of the bfing helplines a call.

Think its normal to start biting at this age because of teething.

Thanks I needsomesleep (I need some too btw!)

Sadly DS is a lie down/sit up/climb on top biter. Also I live overseas so no bfing helplines although my hospital had a lactation consultant so maybe I will drop her a line.

You can email the nct. Don't know if it will help but its worth a try.
