One day I will stop worrying about DD's milk intake and boring you all with my questioning but not yet
DD (7months) has always been a pain to feed. She is now just having bottles but since we've started weaning she's taking even less than usual.
She's having, on average, with 'encouragement' about 16 oz per day- usually very little in the morning, medium bottles at about 11 and 3 and a big bottle before bed. Occasionally she will take a bit more when she wakes up at night.
We are doing BLW and she has taken to it extremely well and is happiest when stuffing her face! I think she eats quite a bit and seems to like everything so far. I always give her milk about an hour before she eats so that she doesn't fill up on food and not leave room for milk but thins doesn't make much difference. She seems to have a separate 'solids' stomach!
She seems to really like water and will guzzle quite a lot but I'm not sure how much I should let her have - is it still dangerous at her age to have too much? Obviously if she's not having much milk she needs fluids but I've no idea how much.
Is it time to stop stressing about pushing the milk, and just make sure that she's getting a balanced diet? If so, what do I need to make sure she's getting?
