Am I right in thinking it's illegal to discount formula for babies under six months?

Have I made it up? Is it European law or does it just apply in the UK?

it's the EU Directive that Tik Tok had linked to

Been ages since I did EU law, but generally a Directive is addressed to the Member State to enact it as legislation, which is formed by Regulations.

Ah, I see....so the Dutch law will have to be the same as the EU directive?

nannynick · 09/12/2009 18:24

If it's of any use, Forbruger Europa may be a point of call - located in Copenhagen. They may be able to advice regarding how that EU directive is applied in Danish law, complaints procedures and general consumer advice.

Yes, the EU Directive would oblige Member States to comply with the Directive, and most will simply enact it through legislation.

Infant Formula Directive

I know tiktok i wish formula was cheaper i think that it was nearly £8 a carton, and if you have to use it like i and many others where bf has not been successful its not cheap. Its like being penalised for not being able to bf or choosing an alternative way. At the end of the day its just powdered milk with nutrients in.
