tummy bug affecting milk supply?

hi, i have had a tummy bug since early hours sat morning (vomitting) since then i have been constantly nauseas and unable to eat. i have had the odd slice of toast but not the usual in take by any means! Im worried about my supply as ds (5month) since yesterday has been really fussing at feeds, getting cross pulling my nipples etc. He also will not take a bottle, he seems to go through phases of taking one then refusing one! He usual feeds every 2 hours, could it be my milk supply being effected or is it just coinsidence that it is happeing whilst i have an upset tummy? should mention, he nor the rest of the family show no signs of what i appear to have!

There's not much research on this, but many people do find a small and very temporary dip in supply when they have a serious tummy bug...shows up in behaviour like you describe, ie extra fussing. Hang on in there, and it will almost certainly get better today.

Hope you feel better, too.

thank you for your reply, have noticed he's feeding more today so if anything should hopefully build supply back up!
