6 mo today.
with the exceptions of his jabs, 2.5 ml calpol, and the solitary half-cell that his daddy contributed at the beginning,

and some grass he managed to grab in the garden and i saw in his nappy

all that he is has come from me

[pat on the back emoticon]
just wanted to share my pleasure and pride...

WEll done... very jealous, but I WILL DO IT with number 2!

MarsLady · 24/06/2005 10:47

Well done you!

welshmum · 24/06/2005 10:57

Well done you - it's my goal for number 2 too - 5 months to go

chipmonkey · 24/06/2005 11:00

Well done, SF, I caved at 5.5 months and gave rice pudding but I made it with EBM!

mears · 24/06/2005 11:11

Congratulations

suzywong · 24/06/2005 11:12

well done!

you're going to miss those korma-sauce nappies... I did

seriously though well done

SoftFroggie · 24/06/2005 11:13

Thanks.

I didn't do it with DS1, either. No formula, but shovelled purees / baby rice into him from 4 mo on the dot.

DS1 was a great sleeper from very early, too. DS2 has been a rotten sleeper - still not had an unbroken night - so been very tempting to use formula to try to get him to sleep through. That's why I'm so pleased not to.

CM - EBM rice pudding!

My 2.5 yr old say "I drink milk from cup. baby brother has mummy-milk from mummy tummy, out of mummy nipple" (not all at once, but he knows what's happening).

Well done! You've now been his exclusive nourishment for 15months!!!

motherinferior · 24/06/2005 11:43

It's a brilliant feeling, isn't it. Well done you.

Ruthiebaby · 24/06/2005 12:10

Well done

berolina · 24/06/2005 12:18

Well done!
Am also a bit as we started off mixed feeding, but at 5 weeks are now exclusively bf and long may it last!

CarolinaMoon · 24/06/2005 12:24

it's cool isn't it, but also quite weird, to think they're made entirely (just about) out of things you've eaten - I even used to marvel at the weight of ds's nappies and think, goodness, did all that come out of my bosoms?

anyway, v well done you!

SoftFroggie · 24/06/2005 15:07

Yup, CM, it's all come out of our bosoms, and fortunately, a decent amount (but not enough yet) has come straight from my hips.

EBM rice pudding

1/4 cup ground rice
1 cup EBM

Mix together in a saucepan, bring to the boil and simmer for 15min stirring continuously.

You can freeze in ice-cube trays if desired

sweetish taste, ds3 was very impressed!

suedonim · 24/06/2005 16:34

Well done! Isn't it great to look at your baby and think to yourself "All my own work!" Though I suppose, to be scrupulously fair, Daddy has to have a teensy-weensy bit of credit, too.

lunachic · 24/06/2005 16:37

well done !!!! it isnt easy but its def. a great feeling to know youve done the best you possibly could
