Wonder if anyone can help with this.
Ds is 4 weeks old, exclusively breastfed on demand, putting on weight nicely etc Problem is he's incredibly windy (his sister didn't have this so it's all new to me)I think it causes him pain at times and I don't know what to do about it. Is it normal? Is it something about what I'm eating or how he's latched on? He does want to feed alot from 7-10pm - or at least to suckle for comfort. His main period of farting seems to be about 5am.
Would be grateful for any thoughts....

My 4 week old is breastfed and very windy (not so much farts but rather burps) and cannot settle in her bed at night. I keep her in a vertical position for 45 mins after each feed but she still has wind after that. She had cranial osteopathy twice already. I also saw a naturopath yesterday who said she is windy because she has the wrong bacteria in her gut, due to me having this. She asked me to reduce gluten in my diet (remove bread and pasta) and to give probiotics to her and take some myself. Things are supposed to improve within ten days, so fingers crossed!
