APTAMIL 3- FOLLOW ON MILK FOR 8 MONTH OLD ? OK OR NOT?

Silly me. I did a Sainsburys internet shopping and didn't realised for 2 days that i ordered Aptamil 3 instead of Aptamil 1. I ordered 10 tubs- so nearly £80.00 spent.

My question is- would it be ok to give it to him?

Not sure what's the difference between the 2 ?

Thanks ever so much!

Follow on is for babies over 6 months no?
I think if you read the tin it will tell you.

I did a similar thing - the supermarket won't accept them back as they are baby food (I can understand that) but the good thing is that they should have a long shelf life, so you will get to use them in the end!

2pointforpets-

Many thanks for your comment.

at what age did you use it?

I did change my first baby's milk to the "hungrier babies" milk and it was a disaster. It really messed up her intestinal flora for a bit.

Sorry, just checked, I bought 'Growing Up Milk' (12m+) by mistake, so that has to keep for a few more months in the cupboard.

To answer your question, I changed to follow-on milk at about 6 months as DD was weaning onto solids - she didn't seem to notice any change at all. Sh'e still BFing though so that may have made it easier...
