Hi, my ds has been taking apitmal very well until he developed wind pains and hv prescribed gaviscon. she says he has colic but i am not convinced as he dosn't scream for hours, just cries while passing wind, then settles again. However i have been combining aptimal hungry baby with 1 sachet of gaviscon and he is taking about 2 onces 3xdaily. For a baby who fed 5 onces every 3 hours i am getting worried. He is also refusing his milk without the gaviscon now. I tried to change over his teats to 3mth teats a week ago and he struggled even more to feed and choked etc, so i changed back. I was wondering if changing his milk to cow and gate comfort and forgetting the gaviscon might help, in combination with changing his teats. any advice would be greatly appreciated. Don't know if this is relevenat but wind pains etc all started just after second set of injections?? Thanks in advance

It sounds like your baby has reflux. Does he get stiff when trying to wind him. Gaviscon is not really useful unless he is being sick. Little signs to look for is not taking large amounts of milk. Not very happy soon after the feed. Needs to be burped often. When it comes to winding he would not like to be sat forward and would try to push himself back. Hope you get it sorted. It usually gets better once they are weaned
