If you cup feed, what cup do you use

DD is not taking to the bottle at all ... was thinking a cup may be an option

she is 7 weeks old and exclusively breast fed

What do you use, and would you recommend it?

am sure i have a doidy cup somewhere so was wondering about that

DD cannot latch onto the teat of the bottle at all so whilst we are going to keep going, she may not take to it at all

TIA

Hi, a doidy cup would be fine I think. I have been known to use the lid of a feeding bottle. You can also purchase special feeding cups, but not necessary.

Are you wanting to finish breastfeeding, or do you want to continue breastfeeding with supplements or are you wanting to breastfeed with the ablity to go out occassionally?

If your baby is hungry enough your baby might take the bottle off someone else.

If you don't get on with a cup you can try a syringe.

i don't want to stop feeding

just want to be able to go out occasionally or not have to do every night feed

will get DH to try as well but he is not aroundf in the day and she is still cluster feeding at night which is not a good time as she is fussier and switches breasts a lot

We used the lid of a baby bottle for a week. Could be messy but got the job done!

(DS wouldn't latch at birth, didn't want to use bottles straight away, so fed expressed milk in the lid)
