How much Formula for 3 month old? Just started

Hi

Just moved over to Formula (was exclusively BF) in readiness for work :-(

So far only taking about 300ml a day; I remember DD1 taking far less than the box said in the beginning but DD2 is much bigger and I thought she would take more than this. Starting to worry but it's only day 2 so just keen to know what is a "normal" amount. Appreciate there will be significant variation.

Thanks

Didn't want you to feel ignored.

Bit past all this now, but at three months both mine had 6 bottles of 6-8oz per day. I always made up 8oz bottles and sometimes (but not always) they drank all of it.

Iirc, they had them at 7am, 10, 12/30ish, 3.30ish, 6.30, and a dream feed at 10pm.

When we moved over to bottles at 3 months (still a few breastfeeds as well) DD was only taking about 4 oz 6 times a day. She was tiny though. She still only has about 6 oz, sometimes 7 5 times a day at 6 months.

Thanks. We are finally getting more in today but good to know they don't all down the full amount!

Hi,
my dd was exclusively ff and I was feeding her on demand, so really can't remember the amounts or frequency. But I do remember getting worried over the amounts shown on the tin. The peadiatrician told me though that I shouldn't be looking at those tables and as far as she's concerned most babies don't want as much as the tins say they "should" have. There's not such a thing as a valid table for quantities, just let her do as she pleases
