What are the ingredients? I think it would depend on how often they are feeding.

Is it a decongestant? Word of warning - they can reduce milk supply. I took sinus tablets for a few days and noticed a marked drop in supply - and I usuall have loads. Went straight back up afterwards though.

In the medicine box I've got 2 choices (1) childrens sudafed syrup - Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30mg (2) Sudafed congestion relief tablets - Phenylephrine hydrochloride. My ds feeds about 5 x in a 24hr period. Thanks

I wouldn't take it.

Would just take paracetamol and get a karvol vaporisor or some olbas oil.

Pharmacist wouldn't give it to me. Having said that, the give you hardly anything if bf. Steam inhalation really does help, though messier than a tablet would be!

That NHS birth to five book says avoid anything with Phenylephrine in while breastfeeding but occasional doses of psuedoephidrine are ok for nasal conjestion
