Which baby bottles do you recommend?

I am 6 months pregnant with DC3. I struggled to breastfeed DC1 & DC2. I do plan on trying to breastfeed DC3 when born but I want to have bottles on hand if it doesn't work out as we don't live near any big stores.

With DC1 I used Avent bottles but she was always sick after a feed. With DC2 I used Dr Browns which seemed to be fine other than the fact they leaked! I had my DC2 4.5 years ago so am sure bottles have moved along since then so wondered if any of you could recommend any bottles to me? Thanks.

I bottle fed and used Tommee Tippee ones with the anti colic teats. Don't know whether they actually work but DS didn't get colic. We had the microwave steam steriliser which was fantastic and took less than 10 mins to sterilise in the microwave. This was before bottles were being made BPA free though, so next time I will make sure that any bottles I use are BPA free. HTH.

I use dr Browns and love them. I did have Tommee Tipee, but he took in loads of air and had horrible wind.

Dr Browns are fine if you stir formula rather than shake.

I've been happy with tommee tippee closer to nature but only started giving bottles after 3 months when most of the colic/wind issues were over and done with (thank goodness!).

I like the fact that that you can put the teat & screw top together before you sterilise them & the wide neck is good for scooping the formula in easily.

They do come BPA free now too.

I like the look of the born free ones, but they are quite expensive. I've heard bad things about the Tommee Tippee ones (though have used them occasionally],';ui with no problems

Thanks, will have a look at those recommended.

Anyone else have any experience of those mentioned here or any others?
