Bottle Feeding problems-Can anyone help?

Hi

I have benefitted from much advice over the last few months from mumsnet. Here I am again- I was exclusively b'fding until my dd was 4 months. She is now 5 months and for the last few weeks she has been very difficult to feed. She refuses the bottle/ cries and whines when I try to put it in, wriggles, turns head away. I have to be very patient and persevere most of the time- a feed can take up to an hour. I'm really concerned that if I try too hard to force feed it will put her off. I know sometimes she has wind down below which I stop feeding and wait tilit passes and she can still refuse. She only takes between 5 and 6.5 ozs generally anyway per feed and a lot of the time I end up spoon feeding which takes ages but she copes with this ok. She has just cut her first tooth so I have been trying bonjela/teething granules etc before feeding, but I'm not sure if this is working. She still wakes once in the night for a feed. Is it teething? or something else? Should I change the flow of the teat? Thanks for your help in advance.

I'd try a faster teat and see if it helps.

Is she ill, she may have earache, pain in sinuses?

Actually Seona 1973 she has had a cold/blocked nose over the last 2 weeks which would coincide with the timescale she has been having trouble-thanks I will try this route and hopefully that's the answer!
