Sorry if this is in the wrong place...

if I'm preparing to prep and freeze say 15 portions of carrot, apple etc.. roughly much milk will I need to express in advance to help to puree it...?

Assuming I won't be just squirting it in at the appropriate moment..?!

I've found it easier to puree with boiled water, freeze in ice cube trays and then express a bit when defrosted to make it runnier.

Makes it easier to get it in the ice cube trays if it's not too runny too!

Actually that does make sense... and less to express as well I take it?? Which can only be a good thing..

So to clarify then I could just express small amounts of breastmilk separately and defrost some each day for mixing with that days' food? Sorry if this is a daft question...

The whole weaning thing feels a bit pressured!

I found that too...try BLW for a less stressful approach, there's a thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weaning/845317-BLW-support-welcome-weaners-old-and-new-and-mind-the
