How long on average does a 10 week old spend on the breast at each feed?

My DD2 is definetely having much shorter feeds!

How long is a piece of string?

I've had one that spent 5 minutes per feed, and one that spent half an hour.

I've only got one DS (so far) but at that age he spent aaaaaaaaaaaaaages, every time.

One that spent 40 mins every 2 hours, one that spent 20 mins, and last one about 10 mins...

DD1 fed for 45 mins every 2 hours!!

DD2 10 mins every 3 hours

DS1 5 mins every hour or so.

DD2 spends 5 min every 2 hours. she is 8 weeks and has been doing this since 5/6 weeks, before that she was spending at least 30 min, i now think she was just establishing supply; she gains weight well so after my initial anxiety i am getting used to it as her norm!

Thanks everyone. I had her weighed last week and she's gaining weight OK. I guess in contrast to the marathon feed sessions of the past it does seem very quick now!!
