Nipple twiddling - WHY??

Thanks Mother Nature, brilliant design

Why can't they find something else soothing?? Stroking me? Holding my hand? Twiddling their own body parts like their ears, or their hair?

Anything!! Grr and even if I restrict access to the other nipple he has started to find any available bit of skin, pinch it and twiddle that instead.

My ds tells me he does it because it makes more milk come out on the side he is feeding. I presume it helps to trigger another letdown.

they're not going to get that by twiddling ears and hair!!
