Ds2 (11 weeks) is fully bf and a very efficient feeder now when he wants to be - 5 mins each breast, putting on huge amounts of weight.
Ds1 used to gag a bit when I had letdowns early in the feed but always came off straight away for a bit of a splutter then back on again. Ds2 is weird in that I can tell when too much milk has gone in as I hear him stop taking breaths, but he just carries on until about 5 secs later his eyes go wide, finally he unlatches and I have to tip him up/pat him on the back while he struggles for breath in a pretty alarming way!
I've started unlatching him myself when I hear him stop taking breaths, but this doesn't make for very relaxing feeds.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this? Is there any way I can reduce the speed of the letdown?
