Is it the bottle or the teeth? Help with yucky nappies! [shock]

dd1 was lactose intolerant and has bad wind and diarohea with ordinary formula but ok on SMA LF. DD2 is 12wks and has been exclusively BF. Started with 10.30pm formula feed (aptimil) and now have DISGUSTING nappies and LOADS of wind.

HOWEVER: Teething has started early (9 weeks) so is the wind and yucky eggy fermented smelling windy nappies due to that or is there a chance that dd2 isn't tolerating formula? Never done the switch over so don't know if it takes lots of time for them to get used to it?

i would put my money on the formula.
cut it out and see what happens?

am switching to the SMA LF and seeing what happens but guess what... the teeth have settled again so now how nothing to compare with! ARG! Very frustrating!

Anyone with any experience out there?

tbh it's very, very unlikely to be a lactose intolerance. it's really very rare in babies, and if she was intolerant to it she would react to your milk too as breastmilk contains lactose.

could be a cows milk protein issue though, in which case the lactose-free formula won't help
