Fennel tea for colic?

My 2 and half week baby has colic. My mum suggested Fennel tea, which apparently she used to give to me.

We have tried infacol and it doesn't seem to make much difference.

has anyone used Fennel tea? I have started drinking it, but mum reckons I need to give him some too.

roslily - can you share a bit more about why you think the baby has colic? I mean he may do, of course, but then again....

So says the midwife! Lots of screaming, throwing head back.

I just took what she said! He is also sick a lot, not just after feeding. It is like cottage cheese.

Could there be another explanation?

Just passing through but I had to post, the symptoms sound just the same as my little boy who has a reflux, started at about that time too. Its not just being sick but pain associated with feeding and arching back etc. Mainly lots of crying. It can be treated so see your GP and good luck!
