bf 6 week old has a cold, Anyone used a HUMIDIFIER with any success?

It says on the Kellymom website that humidifiers are good for unblocking noses, however, having bought one at the weekend, it doesn't seem to have made any difference the past two nights.

Is it because I bought a cheap one???

We used one when dd had bronchiolitis and she managed to do well enough not to be hospiatlised. Have you tried a vaporiser (check the minimum age recommendations , he/shem may be too young still ) - Boots or Sudafed do plug ins ? Also a nasal aspirator and saline drops and inclining the head of the mattress slightly with rolled towels or sheets can help.

Thanks LIZS, I think the plug ins are meant to be used from 3 months

I've got a nasal aspirator but DD2 hates it!!
