12m DS latching on with teeth - ouch! Does it mean the end is nigh...

...because bloody hell, I can't keep letting him do that! It makes me scream sometimes and it scares him but I can't help it.

I love BF and I want to do it for as long as he wants to, but I don't want to sacrifice my nipples to the cause.

Any tips?

you don't have to lket him do it, if he does it just take him off and then let him try again,
it probably feels weird for him too atm, that's why he is doing it, but he'll soon understand that it's not going to get him anything if you take him off each time

I was lucky that dd didn't bite and am still feeding at 2.4. Obviously, she has a lot of teeth. You can teach them not to bite and then all should be fine. The latch should readjust.

Thanks - he is a bit of a biter generally but I guess he's just getting used to his new teeth. DS1 never bit.

Can you try different positions? DS's teeth dig in on my left breast and it got really sore, so I turned him round into a rugby ball position and that helped. I have a whole new set of marks now, but nothing's so sore that it really hurts to latch him on any more!
