How long can I keep defrosted breastmilk for?

Am hoping to give DD a bottle of EBM at her 3am feed tonight.

Can I defrost the milk under hot water now, and store in the fridge till I need it, or should I defrost it only when she needs it (in which case she will be crying the house down for 15 mins whilst it defrosts)?

I used to get my milk out to defrost 6 hours before i needed it and pop it in the fridge. I always tried to use it within 24 hours of getting out to defrost. I think 6 hours in fridge will be fine to defrost IME.
