When the little sods angels teeth come through.

My son is of course a genius an early developer as he has his front bottom teeth through at 17 weeks. They are needle sharp and although the latch is fine where the teeth are it hurts like standing on an electrical plug!

Is there something I can do?

I've tried changing positions but that just moves the pain to another location.

No advice, just wanted to send some sympathy!

It got better pretty quickly for us, a little sore with each new lot that came through, and then settled down soon after.

Advice I've read is to apply teething gel just before a feed so LO isn't tempted to chew boob for relief, and it also numbs the bit of boob they're chewing on.

Yes, this always happened for me when new teeth came through but quickly got better. It was like he didn't know what to do with them but got the hang of it eventually!

this happens with dd (14 months) every time a new tooth erupts, i find ambesol before feeeds helps. She seems to adjust after a day or two.
