Hi
I am aware that many of you will think I am ridiculous for worrying about this, but I am a neurotic first time mum so worry about everything!
My baby girl is nearly 14 weeks now. She is exclusively breastfed, but we had a lot of issues at the beginning with latching on and poor weight gain. I use shields for every feed which work well, and she is now gaining weight slowly but surely.
Anyway, she has been sleeping through the night (9pm-9am) every single night since she was 8 weeks old. She feeds four times a day, at 9am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm for about 40 minutes a time. When I say this to people (family, other mums, midwives etc) they simply cannot believe it, so much so that I am worried that there is something not right as I thought that BF babies need to feed 6-8 tims in a 24 hour period, and there is no way they should be sleeping for 12 hours straight. I am sure it will not last when she starts teething but I just want some reassurance that this pattern is possible and I do not have the strangest baby in the world
Thanks
