When can I introduce water via bottle?

Hi,

Can anyone advise at what age I can introduce water? Either mixing with formula or on its own.

Also,is it ok to boil the water in the kettle or a pan?

DD is nearly 8 weeks and I am mainly breastfeeding with 2/3 bottles of formula per 24 hrs.

Thank u!

you can give water now, and boiling it in a kettle is fine

You shouldn't need to give water - why do you want to?

Don't bother, KittyN - babies don't need it and it's a hassle.

In particular, don't mix it with the formula. That has to be made up and offered in the precise dilutions on the packaging.
