When can you start taking Fenugreek?

I am assuming that my milk supply may not be great due to my breast reduction so can I start on the fenugreek capsules as soon as the baby is born? No point hanging around I reckon.

fennel tea ok not sure when you can start fenugreek

There are some contraindications to taking fenugreek so check with your midwife or even better speak to a bf counsellor.

There is quite a bit of info on the breastfeeding.com website.

I have had a client take it from the first week.

Not sure how a breast reduction can impact on breastfeeding so again you may want to speak to an expert.

Thanks poshtottie, have done all that .

There just doesn't seem to be a definitive of when to take it apart from when you notice your milk supply might not be sufficient- I am assuming it may not be from day 1.

Fwiw, I'll be starting that from day 1 with my next baby for the same reason.
