Using expressed milk - can DH take it out and about with him?

Okay, so I'm off on my best friend's hen do tomorrow for afternoon and evening, leaving DH at home with DS (2.10) and DD (17 weeks). So, think we're all there with being prepared (except my nerves!):

Expressed milk in fridge to defrost overnight (check)
DD will take bottles (Check - although, hope she hasn't gone off them in last week, as don't have enough supply to spare some to check her again!)
Bottles in sterilising (Check)
MIL arriving mid-morning (Check)

BUT - DH wants to go out to town to give DS a run around tomorrow - can he take a bottle of expressed milk with him for DD? Leaflet with my expresser says not to store it at room temperature ever. Anyone done this?

yes of course!

breastmilk is fine at room temp for around 8 houts I think. the anti-bacterial properties of it mean it actually ends up with less bacteria than it started with

Thanks thisisyesterday! I had read that somewhere, but it was only my breastpump instructions leaflet, which gave me doubts.
Thanks a million for confirmation.
