Antibiotics and BF

Following on from my earlier thread - does anyone know how to continue breastfeeding whilst on antibiotics - without it upsetting the baby's tum?

My friend has been on them for 4 weeks now and her DS is mostly on formula as BM upsets him too much.

Does anyone know any way to sort this problem out?

I was advised to take lots of acidophilus while on antibiotics and breastfeeding, and to give DS acidophilus as well. There are probiotocs made specially for babies. I think I gave hom HMF Natogen by Genestra. I took about 6 or 8 high potency capsules every day and it really helped. Neither one of us got thrush or diarrhoea and I'm very prone to both while on antibiotics.

That should be "probiotics" and "him"... oops.
